This offering from Mara Martin is especially good and a fantastic example of the Godello varietal. Hailing from Galicia in North Western Spain, this wine bursts with primary flavours of grapefruit, lemon zest, quince, a lovely minerality and saline notes courtesy of vine proximity with the Atlantic.
On the palate, the wine is intense and upfront, with lovely depth and structure and an almost buttery finish from lees contact. The finish is long and persistent. A delicious wine.
Perfect Pairing: A beautiful match for Goats cheese, in particular Spanish Manchego, and soft ripened cheeses - Brie through to Roquefort. Outstanding with seafood and salads.
